Orem, UT, July 10, 2008 -- The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF) announced that Ad Hoc Electronics was among the winners of its 2008 “Top 25 Under Five” awards. The applicants were evaluated in terms of revenue growth and job creation. Ad Hoc Electronics placed number 18th among all applicants.
Ad Hoc Electronics received this award because it is one of the top companies in Utah that is younger than 5 years old. Combined revenues for the winning companies exceeded $225 million and more than 950 jobs had been created by these relatively young companies according to Steve Grizzell, Chair for the Top 25 event.
"This award is a credit to the hard work and dedication of our team. The market is demanding ways to make buildings and homes more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Our new line of Illumra products is perfectly poised to fill this market demand," said Jan Finlinson, Director at Ad Hoc Electronics. "We fully expect to see similar growth rates in the future."
Ad Hoc Electronics just released a new line of wireless lighting control products called 'Illumra' earlier this year. Illumra is a battery-free, wireless lighting control system that uses energy harversting to power switches, motion detectors, window/door contact sensors, and light lumen sensors. These sensors communicate with a wide variety of relay controls, all functioning on the EnOcean protocol. The Illumra product line also includes products that communicate with RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet and many other 3rd party protocols.
Besides the Illumra product line, Ad Hoc has developed a strong reputation with their custom engineering, manufacturing, and support capabilities. With access to thousands of products from a wide variety of manufacturer's, Ad Hoc has the ability to create a solution for virtually any wireless application.
